HWP – HVA Compliance
HWP – High Voltage (HVA) General Protection Relays – Compliance Update
If you have a high voltage (HVA) metering delivery point, you have received or will receive a letter from ENEDIS regarding the compliance update of your HVA general protection due to the modification of the neutral regime. The neutral regime will transition to compensated neutral, aiming to limit the homopolar fault current to 40 A.
For those affected subscribers, it is required to install a homopolar watt-metering protection relay (HWP). For this purpose, you will need the following equipment:
– A protection relay of SEPAM S48 E13 type or equivalent, complying with C13 100 standard
– A 48 Vdc power supply
– A set of connectors for SEPAM
– A 10-input / 4-output logic module
– A CSH30 current sensor
– 3 test units: Current, Voltage, Polarity
– A kit for connection to the HVA main circuit breaker
– A C60H-DC low voltage circuit breaker (SEPAM power supply)
This type of service is frequently carried out by our teams, and we are at your disposal for any assistance. Please note that this service should be coordinated with ENEDIS, who will be responsible for testing the triggering of the general HVA protection relay at the required thresholds. This operation is commonly referred to as “C13 100 Testing.” We are also available to support you in your interactions with ENEDIS.
Please be aware that this intervention requires the shutdown of your installations, with an average duration of 6 hours.
